We are currently seeking motivated and reliable General Labourers to join our growing telecommunications team in London, Ontario. This position involves assisting with the installation of fibre optic services to residential homes and supporting crews in the field.
Previous telecommunications experience is considered an asset but is not required. We are willing to train hardworking individuals with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist fibre installation crews with residential fibre optic projects
- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment
- Hand digging, trenching, and site preparation as required
- Comfortable operating power tools, ex. drills, cut off saws, gas powered hand trenchers
- Restore work areas following installation
- Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and homeowners
Qualifications
- Valid G Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
- Telecommunications, utility construction, fibre optic, or underground construction experience is preferred but not required
