About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Family Office Accounting & Tax Specialist to join a dynamic, family-run organization with a diverse portfolio of investments and real estate holdings. You will oversee accounting and tax functions while providing financial analysis that supports strategic decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a multi-entity environment and has a strong foundation in corporate and partnership tax.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple corporations, partnerships, and related entities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes
Ensure timely and accurate corporate, partnership, and personal tax compliance
Prepare tax working papers and liaise with external tax advisors and auditors
Analyze financial data to support business planning and strategic decision-making
Monitor cash flow and assist with treasury management
Perform bank, investment, and intercompany reconciliations
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, controls, and financial processes
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to support ongoing business initiatives
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality while managing sensitive financial information
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
CPA designation preferred
5+ years of progressive accounting and tax experience, preferably within a family office or private investment environment.
Strong knowledge of corporate, partnership, and personal taxation
Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential financial information
