High expectations for character, conduct, competence, and confidence
Educators at Tsay Keh Dene School are not expected to be perfect—but they are expected to be present,
reflective, accountable, and willing to grow alongside the community they serve.
Community Context
Tsay Keh Dene is a remote, close-knit community, located on the northern shore of the Williston
Reservoir in the Rocky Mountain Trench, north of Prince George, British Columbia. The community is
accessible by forest service road or airplane and offers abundant opportunities for outdoor living,
including hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, and land-based activities.
Teachers are provided with fully furnished, subsidized housing, strong professional support, and the
opportunity to live and work in a place where education plays a central role in community wellbeing.
