Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable General Labour / Warehouse Worker to join our team. This role involves supporting warehouse operations through various tasks such as loading, unloading, order picking, and operating heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate heavy machinery safely. Duties
- Load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, or cranes
- Pick and prepare orders accurately for shipping and receiving processes
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts and cranes following safety protocols
- Assist with warehouse organization, inventory management, and maintenance of storage areas
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments and documentation
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and order statuses
- Perform heavy lifting tasks regularly to move goods within the warehouse
- Assist with construction or assembly tasks as needed for warehouse setup or repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or construction is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or clamp trucks is highly desirable
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
- Experience with order picking and load & unload procedures
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and procedures
- Construction experience or familiarity with heavy equipment operation is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, and move items throughout the shift
This position provides an essential role in maintaining smooth warehouse operations through skilled handling of goods and equipment. Candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment that values safety and teamwork.
Pay: $16.10-$17.00 per hour
