DF Barnes is seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Manager to lead and continuously improve our Quality Management System across our diverse operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a quality professional who is passionate about operational excellence, continuous improvement, and building a strong culture of quality throughout the organization.
As the Quality Manager, you will work closely with senior leadership, project teams, customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure our quality standards remain industry-leading while supporting the continued growth of the DF Barnes Group of Companies.
Reporting to senior leadership, the Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving the Group's ISO 9001 Quality Management System across fabrication, industrial coatings, maintenance, repair, field services, and rigging operations. You will oversee audits, supplier quality, project quality planning, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives while providing leadership to the quality team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve the Group's ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Coordinate certification, surveillance, customer, internal, and regulatory audits.
- Develop and manage the annual internal audit program.
- Conduct supplier and subcontractor quality audits and oversee the Approved Supplier Program.
- Support contract reviews, project Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and turnover documentation.
- Ensure quality requirements are consistently applied across fabrication, welding, industrial coating, maintenance, repair, field services, and rigging operations.
- Lead investigations into non-conformances, customer complaints, and corrective actions using root cause analysis.
- Monitor quality performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to Quality Coordinators, Inspectors, and document control personnel.
- Ensure quality records, inspection equipment, personnel qualifications, procedures, and material traceability are maintained.
- Serve as the primary quality contact for customers, certification bodies, inspection agencies, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Report quality performance, risks, and improvement opportunities to senior leadership.
