Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup Operator to join our job shop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines such as CNC lathes and CNC milling machines. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in CNC programming, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. The CNC Operator will play a vital part in producing high-quality precision components, utilizing advanced manufacturing techniques, and ensuring efficient production processes.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC machinery, including CNC lathe and CNC milling machines, ensuring accurate production according to specifications. Victor Taichung and Dahlih milling machines. Hyundai pallet and lathe machines.
- Programming knowledge in Mastercam using Fanuc controls and modify programs as needed for different jobs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models created in SolidWorks software
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and forklift as necessary for machine setup and material handling.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
- Assist with assembly processes when required, maintaining safety standards at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery with proficiency in Fanuc controls.
- Mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of machining processes and CNC programming.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models using SolidWorks.
- Strong math skills including basic calculations necessary for machining tasks.
- Familiarity with machining tools such as calipers, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and forklift operation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing best practices including lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with blueprint reading and assembly work,
Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
