Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery, specifically dozer and excavator. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to safely and efficiently operate various types of construction equipment. The Equipment Operator will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of construction projects with precision and safety. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment specifically dozers and excavators with skill and safety consciousness
- Perform routine maintenance checks and basic mechanical troubleshooting on equipment
- Assist in site preparation, grading, and excavation tasks
- Safely maneuver equipment around construction sites while adhering to safety protocols
- Load and unload materials using appropriate machinery
- Follow project specifications and communicate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and inspections
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during operation
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment specifically dozers and excavators
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid commercial driver’s license
- Knowledge of construction site safety standards and practices
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks associated with heavy equipment operation including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various weather conditions
- Prior experience in construction environments is preferred
