Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Garden Care Assistant to join our team and contribute to maintaining beautiful and healthy outdoor spaces. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about gardening, landscape maintenance, and horticulture. The Garden Care Assistant will work closely with experienced professionals to support various gardening projects, ensuring the highest standards of plant health and landscape aesthetics.
Duties
- Assist with planting, pruning, watering, and fertilizing plants to promote healthy growth
- Operate hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, and hoes for routine garden maintenance
- Use power tools including hedge trimmers, lawn mowers, and blowers for larger landscaping tasks
- Maintain landscape features by trimming shrubs, mowing lawns, and removing weeds
- Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of plants
- Help with soil preparation, mulching, and composting activities
- Ensure all work areas are clean and safe after completing tasks
- Collaborate with team members on landscape design projects and seasonal plantings
Qualifications
- Prior experience or knowledge in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in gardening and landscaping
- Basic understanding of irrigation systems and their upkeep is a plus
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for outdoor work
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to horticulture and landscape care
Pay: $21.00-$28.00 per hour
