Electrical Service Technician Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial, institutional, and light industrial settings
- Commercial electrical installations utilizing EMT/PVC/AC-90
- Ensure work is completed in compliance with applicable building and electrical codes
- Inspect electrical equipment and support quality control on site, as well as maintain accurate and up-to-date drawings.
- Forecast weekly and monthly manpower & material requirements
- Identify staff training needs and support crew development
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the electrical industry
- Previous experience in a commercial electrical supervisor or service technician role
- Personable and good communication skills
- Able to work alone with minimal support
- Basic skills on computer and mobile apps (SiteDocs,Jobber,Outlook)
- Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS), Fall Arrest, Elevated Work Platform tickets required
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, circuitry, and power distribution, with experience in electrical distribution upgrade projects considered an asset
- Mechanically inclined and highly organized, with strong planning, communication, and teamwork skills
- Detail-oriented with pride in workmanship and a strong commitment to quality
- Physically capable of working in confined spaces, at heights, and on ladders or aerial platforms, including the ability to stand, bend, crawl, lift, climb, pull, and reach throughout the workday
Pay: From $42.50 per hour
