LE Construction and Maintenance
Year-Round Opportunities • Landscaping • Paving • Concrete • Excavation • Snow Removal
Who We Are
LE Construction and Maintenance (LECM) is a full-service commercial landscape contractor with over 15 years of experience serving Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, Strathmore, Okotoks, Chestermere, and High River. We're a single-source provider for snow and ice management, landscape maintenance and construction, paving and concrete, arborist services, and irrigation — managing every phase of a project from concept to completion.
We've built our reputation on quality craftsmanship, reliability, and doing right by the people we work with. Our COR-certified team takes safety, professionalism, and standards seriously, and we've built long-standing partnerships with subcontractors who share that commitment. We're looking for reliable trade partners who take pride in their craft and want consistent, year-round work with a company that values the relationship as much as the result.
What We're Looking For
- We're expanding our network of trusted subcontractors for year-round work across the following trades:
- Landscape construction and lawn care
- Asphalt and paving
- Concrete work (placement, curbs, flatwork, repairs)
- Excavation and earthworks
- Snow removal and winter site maintenance
Whether you specialize in one trade or offer full-service capabilities, we'd like to hear from you. Subcontractors capable of supporting multiple disciplines are especially encouraged to apply.
Why Partner With LECM?
- Consistent, year-round work across summer construction and winter snow seasons
- Guaranteed winter hours for approved snow removal subcontractors
- Priority dispatching for committed partners
- Clear site maps, defined scopes, and straightforward communication
- Reliable monthly payment schedule with multiple payment methods
- A long-term partnership approach — we invest in the subs who invest in us
Requirements
We hold our subcontractors to high standards because our clients hold us to the same. To be considered, you must meet the following baseline requirements:
Experience & Capacity
- Minimum 1 year of commercial experience in your trade (snow, landscape, paving, concrete, or excavation)
- Must use your own equipment and crews — third-party subcontracting is not permitted (seasonal equipment leasing is acceptable)
- Trained crews available during the applicable work season (October 15 – April 1 for snow; year-round for other trades)
Required Documentation
- Proof of WCB coverage
- Minimum $1,000,000 liability and auto insurance
- Complete equipment list (year, make, model of equipment and implements used on LECM sites)
- Manager / Crew Leader contact details
- All documentation must be submitted and approved before any payments are issued
Technology & Communication
- Completion of Greenius onboarding training (safety, LMN, site maps, priority levels) prior to invoicing
- Real-time data entry in LMN for every site visit — including materials used and photographic documentation
- Ability to confirm dispatches via text or phone call
- Immediate reporting of app failures, access code issues, equipment breakdowns, or site damages
Standards & Accountability
- Adherence to LECM-provided site maps and pre-approved scopes of work
- Preseason and postseason inspections with timestamped photo documentation (where applicable)
- Commercial-grade workmanship on all repairs and finished work
- Willingness to correct deficiencies within 4 hours of notification
- Arrival onsite within 3 hours of dispatch for snow removal calls
- LECM routes and dispatches treated as priority over other providers
Liability
- Subcontractors assume responsibility for:
- Direct injury to pedestrians caused by contractor equipment or employees (excluding unassisted slip-and-falls)
- Damage to curbs, sidewalks, buildings, signs, landscaping, and similar infrastructure
- Guest and tenant vehicle damage caused by contractor operations
- LECM does not require subcontractors to carry slip-and-fall liability insurance, and can provide written indemnity letters to your insurance provider upon request.
Payment Terms
- Daily invoicing required — every dispatch must be invoiced with service type and associated address(es)
- Payments issued on the 15th of the following month (or next business day), pending compliance
- Accepted payment methods: cheque, e-transfer, or EFT
- Invoices submitted to [email protected] or dropped off at 4405 75 Ave SE
- Non-scope work must be pre-approved by LECM before execution
Contract Terms
- Formal written subcontractor agreement required before work begins
- Either party may terminate with 30 days' written notice
- LECM reserves the right to adjust property lists with 7 days' notice as client portfolio changes
- All terms, rates, and expectations will be outlined in the signed agreement
