Production Technician (Material Handling)

$21.00/hour + shift premiums
Contract: July 27, 2026 – December 1, 2026
About the Role
We are currently hiring 6 Production Technicians to support operations at our Ridgetown facility. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment, primarily focused on material handling and production line support.
Work Location
- Ridgetown, ON, N0P 2C0
- Training (First 5 Days): Chatham, ON
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day
- Continental rotating shifts (every 2 weeks):
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- Candidates must be flexible to work both shifts
Pay & Shift Premiums
- Base Rate: $21.00/hour
- Shift Premiums:
- $3/hour (4:00 PM – 10:00 PM → $24.00/hour)
- $2/hour (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM → $23.00/hour)
Key Responsibilities
- Load bags onto conveyor systems for processing and rework
- Perform general production and material handling tasks
- Follow safety standards and production procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment
- Able to work rotating shifts
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Must be local to the area (no remote candidates)
Work Environment
- Exposure to crop/seed dust (allergens)
- Physically active role requiring standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks
PPE Requirements
Workers are required to wear:
- CSA-approved steel-toe boots (must be supplied by the candidate)
- Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, hi-vis vest
- Long sleeves for handling treated seed
- Hi-vis Class E hard hat (provided on-site)
- Coveralls and additional PPE provided as required
