If you have a LOVE for dance & working with children, we would love to talk with you! Mahogany Dance Arts in SE of Calgary, AB is looking to hire energetic, enthusiastic, and experienced instructors for children ages 3-13 yrs in multiple disciplines. Previous teaching experience is a requirement.
We are looking for teachers specifically with experience in teaching:
- Pre-school ages
- Ballet (must be knowledgeable in the syllabus & able to teach RAD exercises)
- Acro (must be Acrobatic Arts certified)
- Hip Hop
Teachers must be multi-disciplinary & be able to teach more than 1 discipline within the same day/night. Applicants with certifications & extensive training in the following syllabuses will be highly considered over other applicants:
- RAD method of Classical Ballet
- ADAPT Jazz & Tap
- Acrobatic Arts Level 1 & 2 (a must for teaching Acro classes)
- Competitive choreography experience within the disciplines
Applicants must have a solid understanding of age appropriate and developmentally appropriate skills & approaches to teaching. Love teaching children of all ages/abilities & be committed to a high-level of technical training where required. Also, be looking to work within & build alongside a team of great educators & be willing to collaborate, grow from professional feedback. Applicants committed to a career in dance education for years to come will also be highly considered.
Teaching season runs from September to mid-June, following the school calendar and we are open to discussing potential scheduling days/times.
