Free Gas Company (Thorold, ON) is a growing, independent residential and commercial propane company that has provided dependable service in the Niagara/ Haldimand regions for over 60 years.
Position Summary:
We are looking for one permanent Full-time bulk driver to join our team. We are committed to providing high quality service to every customer. You will work independently, operating and maintaining your bulk truck to the highest level of safety standards while completing all tasks related to loading and delivering propane to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain up to date electronic (or paper) HOS logs
- Prepare daily delivery routes
- Provide professional, reliable and timely customer service
- Submit daily driver logs
- Maintain contact with office to ensure no scheduled deliveries are missed
- Perform minor maintenance tasks when necessary
- Other duties as requested by Manager
The Ideal Candidate will:
- have a clean drivers abstract with a DZ license
- have a minimum of 2 years experience driving a DZ vehicle
- be able to adhere to all federal and provincial regulations
- conduct and maintain the highest standard of safety in all activities
- be professional and courteous with customers and co-workers
- have the ability to prepare accurate records and reports
- have a strong comfort level with on board truck computer technology
- be able to lift heavy objects (approximately 50 lbs)
- recognize vehicle and equipment maintenance needs and perform basic repairs
