Job Title: Property Maintenance Specialist

Overview:
Acuity Advantage, on behalf of our private client, is seeking a reliable and experienced Property Maintenance Specialist to assist with the ongoing care of two large acreage properties in the Cochrane area. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining beautiful, well-kept outdoor spaces and is comfortable working independently on private family properties. The right person may be retired, semi-retired, self-employed, or have relevant experience in landscaping, acreage care, estate maintenance, farming, or property maintenance.
The primary focus is lawn care, yard maintenance, and general property cleanliness. Flexibility around weather is important, as the schedule may need to shift when conditions change. The client will supply the equipment, which is new and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lawn Care and Yard Maintenance: Weekly lawn care for two large acreage properties
- Mowing lawns and maintaining a clean, polished appearance
- Whipper snipping / trimming all edges
- Blowing off driveways and hard surfaces
- Managing irrigation as required
- Watering flowerbeds as needed
- Maintaining overall yard cleanliness
Seasonal Property Maintenance:
- Major fall leaf cleanup
- Yard waste collection and removal coordination
- Snow removal support at one family property during the winter months is considered an asset, but is not required
- General outdoor property tasks and seasonal projects as needed
Equipment Use:
- The successful candidate should be comfortable using and troubleshooting basic yard maintenance equipment, including lawnmowers, whipper snippers / trimmers, blowers, and irrigation-related equipment.
- Experience operating a tractor and/or skid steer would be considered an asset, but is not a primary requirement.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous acreage, landscaping, estate, farm, or property maintenance experience preferred
- Strong lawn care and general yard maintenance skills
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible around weather
- Able to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Practical problem-solving ability
- Physically able to perform outdoor work, including lifting, bending, mowing, trimming, and seasonal cleanupLegally authorized to work in Canada
Preferred Skills:
- Experience maintaining large acreage properties
- Familiarity with irrigation systems
- Experience operating a tractor and/or skid steer would be an asset
- Truck or ability to haul yard waste would be helpful, but is not required
- Respectful, discreet, and professional when working on private family properties
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Physical, hands-on work
- Approximately 1–2 days per week
- Seasonal peaks during spring cleanup, summer lawn care, fall leaf cleanup, and winter snow events
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
- This opportunity may be structured as a direct part-time payroll position with the client or as a contract arrangement for a qualified independent contractor.
