Technical Business Analyst - Job Description:
The cleint is seeking a skilled Technical Business Analyst to support the delivery of the Business Technology Renewal (BTR) Program. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business interest holders and technical teams, ensuring successful analysis, documentation, system integration, and implementation of improvements across platforms and operations.
Technical Business Analyst - Responsibilities:
- Examine existing systems, software, and business workflows to identify inefficiencies or issues.
- Create detailed system specifications, diagrams, and technical manuals. Participate in software architecture decisions.
- Maintain records of system configurations, updates, and issues.
- Collect and document user requirements from stakeholders. Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams. Ensure documentation is understandable to both technical teams and business users.
- Assist with project management tasks.
- Ensure cybersecurity compliance and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and relevant regulations.
Technical Business Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline.
- Business Analysis certification (such as IIBA).
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC.
- Experience working with technical teams on APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Technical Business Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- PMP certification.
- Familiarity with project management tools.
- Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements.
- Experience in higher education or public-sector environments.
- Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
Technical Business Analyst – Assignment Length:
This is a 1-year contract position, from July 2026 to July 2027.
