We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an excellent work ethic to fill the position of Landscape Foreman/woman. Reporting to management, the Landscape Construction Foreman/woman is to direct, organize, control and coordinate all activities related to maintaining overall operational excellence at jobsites with little or no supervision. Successful candidates will be detail oriented and have an exceptional understanding and knowledge of landscape construction with a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience. Post-secondary education in a related field would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare job site (layout, determine elevations, etc.)
- Manage the installation of projects that may take one week to one month
- Install both softscape and hardscape
- Lead a 3-5 person installation crew
- Provide mentoring and guidance to crew members
- Maintain a clean jobsite
- Complete daily reports and job package paperwork to improve job site productivity and quality
- Safely operate various types of powered mobile equipment and tools
- Promote and manage a safety culture, and ensure compliance to safety standards and safe work practice for all staff
- Maintain positive client and consultant relationships
- Position requires approximately 50-60 hrs a week
Qualifications:
- Reliable, team oriented individual that is able to perform independently without supervision
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Detail oriented
- The ability to lead and direct a team of 3-5 people; ability to provide mentoring and guidance to crew members is required
- Ability to read and interpret drawings & blueprints for preparation of site layouts
- A diverse construction experience (hardscape & softscape) - carpentry and masonry an asset
- Experience operating a variety of hand and power equipment
- Experience operating excavator or skid steer, driving trucks and trailers, loading/offloading machines
- Aptitude for physically demanding, outdoor work
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to change in a dynamic environment
- Ability to maintain high standard of operational excellence
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating diplomacy
- Open to continuous learning
- Applicants are required to hold a valid ‘Class 5’ license
