Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy-duty trucks and equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of heavy-duty mechanics and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy-duty trucks and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure reliable and safe operation
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems using electronic diagnostic equipment and other tools
- Order and replace parts as needed
- Keep detailed records of all work performed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a heavy-duty mechanic
- Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a certified Heavy Duty Mechanic program
- Possession of a valid Heavy Duty Mechanic license (preferred)
