Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and Greek bilingual Personal Assistant dedicated to supporting seniors with their daily needs and enhancing their quality of life. This role requires a dynamic individual who is fluent in both English and Greek, with a passion for senior care and a strong commitment to providing respectful, personalized assistance. As a vital member of our caregiving team, you will deliver comprehensive support that promotes independence, safety, and well-being for our elderly clients. Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance to seniors, including mobility support, medication administration, and daily activity management
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met according to individual dietary requirements
- Support with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living environment
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
- Help with personal hygiene routines including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed
- Assist with transfers and heavy lifting to ensure safety during mobility support or repositioning
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and report any changes in health or behavior promptly
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in patient care, caregiving, or supporting individuals with disabilities or dementia
- Knowledge of hospice care practices and senior care best practices is an advantage
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills in both English and Greek to facilitate clear interactions with clients and their families
- Experience in cleaning, meal preparation, and general home maintenance to ensure a safe and comfortable living space
