Position Summary
GT Glass is seeking a reliable and hardworking Shop Assistant to support our daily warehouse, shipping, inventory, and shop operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in keeping operations organized and efficient.
The successful candidate will be a positive team player in assisting with all things warehouse and shop, including inventory support, cutting material, order preparation, shop maintenance, and supporting installers and production staff to achieve high efficiency to exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ship and receive orders accurately and efficiently
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage areas
- Cut mirrors and assist with basic shop production tasks
- Assist installers in the shop as needed
- Support the Office Manager and General Manager with inventory processes and counts
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe
- Sweep floors and maintain work areas
- Handle recycling and garbage removal
- Assist with other general cleaning and upkeep of the facility

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Combination of standing, walking, lifting, and manual work
- Standing for extended periods
- Handling loads up to 75 lbs
- Ability to apply attention to detail while managing multiple tasks
Preferred Experience
- Shipping and receiving experience is considered an asset
- Warehouse or shop experience preferred

Hours: Monday – Friday; minimum 30 hrs/week
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
