Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Arborist/Groundsperson to join our team. This role involves supporting tree care operations, including climbing, rigging, and ground maintenance, to ensure the health and safety of urban and rural landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, landscape maintenance, and working outdoors in a dynamic environment. This position offers opportunities for skill development in arboriculture and related fields.
Responsibilities
- Assist with tree pruning and removal activities using appropriate rigging techniques
- Support ground-based tasks such as debris cleanup
- Perform equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation of tools and machinery
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and injuries on-site
- Support team members in complex tasks involving rigging, climbing, or heavy lifting
- Maintain clear communication with crew members to coordinate daily operations effectively
Experience
- Prior experience in arboriculture, landscape maintenance, or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of rigging techniques, bucket operation, and the use of bucket trucks is a plus
- Experience with general landscape maintenance or horticultural practices is beneficial
- A valid driver’s license is preferred for operating equipment or traveling between job sites
