Airfield Maintenance Specialist (full-time)
HOURS of WORK – 40 standard hours per week – the summer season is mostly day shifts and the winter seasonal is a rotating days and nights schedule which can be confirmed during the interview process.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment to perform maintenance duties on airport runways, taxiways, roads, parking lots and general airfield
- Maintains the general airfield by performing general airfield inspection of runways, taxiways, aprons, condition of airfield lighting and signage for vehicle and aircraft navigation
- Wildlife control and removal
- Assist with emergent airside occurrences, ensuring safety and security for our employees and the public
- Support our Trades team with maintenance of equipment and facilities
- Provide escort and support to internal and external projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience in heavy equipment operation
- Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 3A Driver’s License with air brake endorsement
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance, an Airside Vehicle Operators Permit, and an Industry Canada Radio licence
- Proven ability to exercise initiative and discretion
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Proven commitment to safety with an impeccable safety record
