Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health & Safety Co-ordinator to oversee and implement safety protocols across our construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote a culture of safety awareness, and minimize workplace hazards. This role is essential in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees and contractors on-site. Experience in construction and familiarity with construction management software are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies tailored to construction sites.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Coordinate safety training sessions for new and existing staff to ensure understanding of safety procedures.
- Investigate accidents or incidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant standards.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports using construction management software.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness through ongoing communication and engagement initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, new regulations, and advancements in construction safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or a related field with a strong understanding of construction site operations.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to construction environments.
- Proficiency in construction management software for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills for conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
