Cambrian College’s School of Skills Training is seeking part-time professors to teach in the Powerline Technician program starting in September 2026.

Required:

Powerline Technician (434A) Certificate of Qualification is required; a Powerline Technician Certificate of Apprenticeship is considered an asset (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application)

Minimum five years of practical work experience in distribution at the Journeyperson level is required.

Excellent interpersonal skills and superior oral and written communication skills.

Ability to be an effective role model in the classroom.

Ability to use creative teaching approaches and current and emerging teaching and learning strategies to enhance student progress.

Possess good organizational skills and sound computer software skills.

Ability to function within a team environment.
Additional Assets/Preferred:-
Postsecondary diploma in Powerline Technician or Advanced Diploma.

Previous teaching experience at the postsecondary level.

Experience with apprenticeship mentorship, adult or post-secondary level teaching is considered an asset.

Overhead or utility experience is considered an asset.
