At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.
With several multimillion-dollar projects currently underway and a strong pipeline of upcoming initiatives, we are seeking a Documentation Manager to join the Integrated Services Readiness team at our headquarters in Saint-Bruno, Québec.
We are looking for a strategic, detail-oriented, and collaborative Documentation Manager who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. You bring strong planning and coordination skills, leadership capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to align teams and deliver high-quality documentation and training solutions.
In this high-impact role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of technical publications and training activities across multiple large-scale projects. You will play a key role in ensuring that documentation deliverables are completed on time, meet quality standards, and support customer and project objectives.
Working closely with cross-functional teams—including engineering, suppliers, project management, and customers—you will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team while ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
- Oversee and monitor technical publications and training activities for 1–3 projects simultaneously
- Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team (up to 10 team members), including planning, coordination, and performance management
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and project teams
- Assess and manage change requests while ensuring deliverable quality and compliance
- Track and report budgets to Project Managers and Services Managers
- Analyze customer requirements and support the preparation of bids (hours and cost estimates)
- Manage training activities, including planning, logistics, and travel coordination
- Ensure project delivery milestones are achieved, supporting financial performance (projects averaging $10M)
- Support team development, including training, coaching, and succession planning
- Lead discussions and negotiate with stakeholders to align customer expectations with business objectives
We value passion and attitude as much as experience. While you may not meet every requirement, the following qualifications will help you succeed in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree or DEC in engineering, project management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience managing or coordinating shared or cross-functional teams
- Strong planning, organization, and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience in documentation, technical publications, or training coordination
- Ability to analyze requirements and contribute to bid preparation
- Strong negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in the transportation or rail industry is considered an asset
- Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career
- Work on large-scale, impactful projects in a growing organization
- Lead and shape documentation and training delivery practices
- Collaborate with diverse, international teams
- Grow your leadership skills and make a tangible impact on project success
- Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning
- Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)
You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
