The clientele is composed of Canadian War Veterans and individuals involved in Motor Vehicle Accidents. Problems encountered may include chronic pain, PTSD, sleep difficulties, stress, anxiety, depression, Adjustment Disorder, and concussions. Extended training will be provided and quality supervision will be provided to ensure best services and growth as a psychologist. Treatment may be provided at various clinics located in Sunridge, Sunpark, or University of Calgary areas.
**Excellent writing skills and knowledge of APA-style writing is mandatory**
Responsibilities to work with Veterans' Affairs will include:
- Conduct formal assessments of veterans using various psychological measures to formalize a diagnosis and provide recommendations.
- Provide treatment to veterans or individuals involved in MVA to address concerns and write regular update reports.
Responsibilities to work with health psychology clients may include:
- Assess and treat adult individuals affected by physical injuries and/or disability.
- Contribute to team reports.
- Participate in team meeting and case conferences to help clients optimize clients' functioning.
**Thorough and regular supervision will be provided and will exceed CAP's standards of 1 hours of supervision for every 15 client hours completed (Supervisees are paid to attend supervision). Group supervision will also be provided.
Applicants MUST be a Registered Provisional Psychologist in Alberta.
Pay: $120,000.00 per year
