- Current registration and licensure in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario required
- Graduate of an accredited Physiotherapy program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to exercise independent clinical judgment and decision-making
- Ability to provide direction and support to Rehabilitation Assistants and Recreation Therapists
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Bilingualism considered an asset
- Ability to work across a variety of care settings including acute care, outpatient services, complex continuing care, and long-term care

- Compensation: $38.77 - $51.52 per hour
Responsibilities:
Physiotherapists are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Assess, treat, and manage patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and functional mobility conditions
- Provide physiotherapy services to patients in acute care, outpatient, complex continuing care, and long-term care settings
- Develop and implement rehabilitation programs aimed at improving mobility, function, strength, balance, and overall quality of life
- Prescribe and recommend therapeutic exercises, mobility aids, and assistive devices as appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, patients, and families to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with professional and organizational standards
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans and injury prevention
- Supervise and provide direction to Rehabilitation Assistants and Recreation Therapists as required
- Ensure compliance with physiotherapy standards, healthcare regulations, and workplace safety requirements
Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility needs and patient population, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.
Experience:
- Experience working in a hospital, rehabilitation, continuing care, outpatient, or long-term care setting preferred
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
- Experience providing physiotherapy services across diverse patient populations considered an asset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong clinical reasoning, problem-solving, and assessment skills
- Experience with mobility assessments, discharge planning, and rehabilitation programming considered an asset
