We are looking for a friendly, organized, and motivated Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our team. Position Summary
As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting physicians, specialists, and patients to ensure a smooth and positive clinic experience. You will work collaboratively with our team to provide professional, respectful, and efficient care in a busy specialty practice environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide exceptional customer service.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally and courteously.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for specialists and physicians.
- Register patients and maintain accurate demographic information.
- Manage referrals, requisitions, and incoming correspondence.
- Scan, file, and maintain electronic medical records (EMR).
- Coordinate with physicians, hospitals, pharmacies, and allied healthcare providers.
- Support clinic procedures and diagnostic services, including ECG, Holter monitoring and other medical equipment (training provided).
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy and clinic policies.
- Contribute to a respectful, collaborative, and patient-centred workplace.
- Perform other duties reasonably assigned to support patient care and clinic operations.
Qualifications & Requirements

Preferred Qualifications (Assets)
- Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant, Co-ordinator, Receptionist, or in a healthcare/customer service setting.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems; Plexia EMR experience is an asset.
- Experience working in a specialist or cardiology clinic.
- Ability to speak Cantonese and/or Mandarin, in addition to English.
- Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program or related education.
New graduates and candidates without previous MOA experience are encouraged to apply. Comprehensive on-the-job training and support will be provided.
