Royal Roads University Student Association (RRUSA) is an incorporated society serving Royal Roads University’s diverse and growing community through providing advocacy, representation, and services to Royal Roads University students. RRUSA oversees the delivery of key student benefits and services, including the U-Pass Program, the StudentCare Extended Health Plan, the Student Price Card, and RRUSA-funded financial aid awards and bursaries.
RRUSA is currently seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Coordinator to curate RRUSA’s digital assets and maintaining an active online presence to ensure that RRU students are well resourced in regards to what RRUSA is working on or providing for the student body.
- Website Maintenance
- Maintain the RRUSA website with up-to-date information across all webpages.
- Update links, upload and embed PDFs, add events to calendar, etc.
- Social Media Engagement
- Create engaging posts for the RRUSA Instagram main feed and daily stories.
- Run digital marketing campaigns including contests, surveys, giveaways, and other promotional initiatives to boost engagement via social media platforms.
- Monitor direct messaging inbox and post comments and reply in a timely manner.
- Email Communications
- Create effective email campaigns to communicate important information to RRUSA members about orientation, events, student benefits, and other pertinent information regarding their RRUSA membership.
- Monitor email campaign performance and maintain monthly membership lists.
- Printed Materials
- Design and order visually appealing, easy-to-read printed materials, such as posters, banners, brochures, booklets, business cards, etc.
- Event Support
- Support RRUSA and Royal Roads University event workers and volunteers.
- Attend campus events and capture photos and videos for social media use.
- Administrative and organisational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
- English language fluency
- Good time management
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of accessible digital communication practices
- Knowledge of student associations and what they do for post-secondary students
- Experience with digital design tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator.
- Experience with digital communication platforms such as Envoke, Mailchimp.
- Experience with website design and maintenance. RRUSA’s website is hosted through CanSpace and built with SiteJet: Experience with SiteJet is considered an asset.
- Experience with creating content for social media i.e. Instagram posts and reels.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate with a combination of relevant skills and experience.
- Permanent, part-time position, 15 hours per week.
- 26.78 per hour
- 4% vacation pay on all wages, included.

- The office is located in the Sherman Jen Building at Royal Roads University’s Colwood Campus at 2005 Sooke Road, Victoria BC.
