Receptionist/Administrative Assistant position at Sunshine Valley Family Chiropractic Clinic
We have an opening for a clinic administrator at Sunshine Valley Family Chiropractic and Health Centre. We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic, team player to join our clinic. We are a multi-disciplinary, health and wellness clinic that specializes in musculoskeletal, nerve and joint conditions of the whole body. We pride ourselves in providing the best care for every patient while maintaining a happy and upbeat clinic. We are passionate about our patients and want them to feel safe and at home the second they walk through the door. The clinic administrator is the first face of care and is truly in charge of first impressions, responsible for shaping subsequent and continuing interactions with patients.
Past reception/administration experience is preferred but not necessary. The position will be part time (15-18hrs per week) with an opportunity for more hrs in the future. This is a long term position and someone with established roots in the area is preferred. All bookings are done digitally thus being computer friendly is important. Fluent in English both oral and written is a necessity. Some additional benefits of the job include free monthly treatments, team outings, puppy love and more. We have two amazing clinic dogs who need occasional care.
Hours/Days include:
- Monday: 10:30-7
- Tuesday: 2:30-6
- Wednesday: 2:30-6
- If more hours are needed that is an option as our clinic is open 5 days a week.
Duties and roles include:
- As an initial point of contact answering phone calls and greeting patients in a friendly, efficient, professional and courteous manner is of utmost importance
- Managing payments by credit card, debit card and cash
- Direct billing
- Managing paper work including scanning, faxing and photocopying. Other duties may include taking notes, inputing patient information, and ensuring patient information is correct and up to date
- Gathering, filing and organizing patient records
- Rebooking patients
- Helping maintain an organized and tidy clinic. Keep the clinic tidy and neat during work hours
- Maintaining an organized and timely schedule for each doctor and practitioner
- Ensuring that the front desk has coverage during business hours
- Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Secondary school education required
- Office administrative diploma from post-secondary school would be an asset but not required
