Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Stock Clerk/Cashier to join our retail team. This role involves managing inventory, assisting customers, and ensuring the sales floor operates smoothly. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a positive attitude to provide exceptional service and maintain store standards. Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve our diverse customer base.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate cash register efficiently and accurately during transactions
- Restock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure an attractive sales floor
- Perform merchandising duties to promote products effectively
- Maintain cleanliness of the sales area, including cleaning and light maintenance tasks
- Use forklift equipment when necessary to move heavy or bulk items safely
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counts and organizing back-stock areas
- Support store maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or merchandising preferred
- Ability to operate a forklift is a plus; training can be provided if needed
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a diverse clientele
- Excellent organizational skills to manage stock and maintain store orderliness
- Ability to perform cleaning duties and light maintenance tasks as required
- Good attention to detail and reliability in completing assigned duties
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary
