Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Billing & Collection Specialist to join our Accounting team. This role is primarily focused on collections and customer follow-ups to ensure timely payments, reduce aged receivables, and maintain strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate is comfortable communicating with customers, proactively following up on outstanding balances,
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Generate and issue accurate invoices promptly upon delivery confirmation via TruckMate.
- Manage the Accounts Receivable aging report and perform proactive collection calls.
- Reconcile billing discrepancies and process credits/adjustments.
- Verify rate confirmations against final invoices to ensure correct billing.
- Process incoming payments and apply them to the appropriate accounts.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of full-cycle of billing and AR.
- Experience in the trucking or logistics industry.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proficient in TruckMate TMS platforms.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve customer conflicts, handle escalations, and manage billing issues confidently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
