Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring and upholding a high level of craftsmanship. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and team oriented environment. Experience in dealership settings or autobody repair is a plus, along with mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand and power tools. This role is being offered as a flat rate position.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper paint adhesion
- Apply paint, and coatings using spray equipment with precision
- Inspect finished work for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications
- Mix paints and other materials to achieve desired colors and finishes
- Maintain a clean work area and properly store tools and supplies
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
- Assist with minor repairs or touch-ups as needed, utilizing mechanical knowledge and hand tools
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during painting processes
- Familiarity with R&I procedures a plus
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a painter, preferably in automotive environments
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair or machinery is highly desirable
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for preparing surfaces or moving materials
- Experience with automotive painting or repair is required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing, bending, or lifting during projects
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
