NUF House North Inc. is looking for an experienced, energetic and responsible full-time Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) who can manage a Preschool or Kindergarten classroom and set up and implement age appropriate classroom learning experiences (together with the leading RECE in the room). Our centre provides all staff with wage enhancement grants and other governmental fundings to support wage increases. Qualified candidates must have prior experience working with children and can support children by planning and implementing age appropriate learning experiences.
Job Requirements:
A degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education
In good standing and a member of the College of ECE's
Minimum 1-2 years experience as an Early Childhood Educator
A valid Vulnerable Sectors Check
Valid Standard First Aid & CPR (Level C) or ability to obtain immediate before start date.
knowledge of the College of Early Childhood Educator’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice
knowledge of Ontario’s pedagogy “How Does Learning Happen” and “ELECT”
Strong communication skills including active listening and reading comprehension
Critical thinking, monitoring, and observing
Time management and leadership skills
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and implement learning opportunities/activities which are age-appropriate and of the children's interest based on daily observations
Prepare weekly program plans
Organize and maintain a safe and comfortable learning environment
Ensure all planned activities stimulate all domains of child development
Attend staff meetings where applicable
Assist with record keeping (ex. daily log books)
Provide appropriate supervision to children in our care
Communicate with parents and families

Pay Range: $28.00/hr
