Delve Con is a growing construction company based in Kitchener-Waterloo, specializing in helping our clients get out of the ground and out of the ground right. We focus on mid-sized residential, commercial, and low- to mid-rise construction projects, giving us the diversity and stability to operate year-round.
Our excavation division offers a broad range of services including demolition, general site work, grading, site services, and foundation excavation. In addition, we operate a concrete division that performs forming and concrete finishing.

We are currently seeking an experienced Foreman to lead and grow within our Excavating Division. The ideal candidate is a strong leader looking to evolve into a key role within the company. Role DescriptionResponsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a crew of 5+ team members on excavation projects
- Operate equipment and assist on-site as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grade/elevation drawings
- Perform layout for foundations, structures, grading, and piping
- Manage job site logistics, including coordinating truck traffic, rentals, and scheduling
- Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specs and timelines
- Liaise with clients, site supervisors, and other trades to maintain job flow
- Provide on-site problem-solving and daily reporting to management
- Support and collaborate with our Total Station layout team
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience as an Operator and/or Foreman in the excavation industry
- Proven experience in commercial, ICI, and/or residential projects
- Ability to lead and motivate crews, while pitching in as needed
- Valid G/AR driver’s license required to pull a trailer with equipment (clean abstract to be provided); DZ or AZ license is an asset
- Strong understanding of job site layout, grading plans, cut/fill calculations, blueprint reading, and use of laser tools
- Proficient in managing logistics and coordinating with multiple trades
- Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to enforce health and safety protocols
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with related trades such as concrete forming, mechanical trenching, prep/grading for flatwork
- Must supply personal PPE: safety boots, rubber boots, hard hat, tool pouch, hammer, and tape measure

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $28.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
