Responsibilities
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
- Cook dishes with attention to quality, presentation, and safety guidelines
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards
- Assist in meal preparation and kitchen operations as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including cleaning utensils, equipment, and surfaces
- Follow all food safety regulations to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health codes
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service during busy hours
Requirements
- Must have 2 years of previous experience as a cook in the last 3 years.
- Language requirements CLB 5 or more in all four categories CELPIP or IELTS
- Canadian educational credential or foreign equivalent (with a valid ECA less than 5 years old)
- Must be currently in Canada with a valid status.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings if necessary
- Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant experience is highly desirable
