We're looking for an experienced General Superintendent/ Construction Manager to join our growing team!
This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role. We are specifically seeking a field-experienced construction leader who has worked their way up through the trades and site supervision ranks. This is not an office-based management position. The successful candidate will have substantial hands-on job site experience leading crews, coordinating trades, solving field challenges, and delivering projects from the site level.

What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct daily check-ins with each Site Superintendent to monitor on-site activities and progress.
- Chair daily meetings with Project Managers and Site Superintendents to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards at the site level.
- Review site progress and provide hands-on leadership and support to each Superintendent to meet project milestones.
- Work collaboratively with Site Superintendents to troubleshoot and resolve issues at the site level as they arise.
- Provide hands-on Site Supervisor coverage during field emergencies, cross-shift rotations, or sudden personnel gaps to keep projects moving forward seamlessly.
- Standardize production processes across all active sites to consistently achieve schedule targets.
- Generate a comprehensive Quality Control (QC) plan for each project, review it weekly, and ensure all items are successfully resolved.
- Monitor compliance of Site Superintendents to established QC plans while continuously improving the overall QC process employed on-site.
- Review safety records generated daily on each site to ensure all scopes of work are completed safely and as required.
- Hold responsibility for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) accountabilities, including maintaining the company's COR certification.
- Hire, manage, mentor, and discipline Site Superintendents as required, working closely with the VP of Operations.
- Review and approve timecards for site staff, including checking and processing Living Out Allowance (LOA) allocations.
- Assign, track, and effectively manage the transport of site materials to locations and their subsequent return.
- Set up and coordinate company travel and accommodations while adhering to budget constraints.
- Utilize construction management software (Autodesk and Google Suites) to track project data, daily logs, and RFIs.
- Travel within Canada as required to support the team.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Site Superintendent , Construction Manager, Senior Project Manager, in commercial construction.
- Willingness and ability to step into a Site Supervisor role on the ground when emergency coverage or shift coordination requires it, including night shifts as required.
- Proven track record managing interior improvements and multi-million-dollar budgets.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing, hiring, and mentoring Site Superintendents.
- Deep knowledge of construction safety management, COR audit standards, and provincial HSE regulations, with a valid NCSO designation.
- Advanced scheduling, budgeting, and time management skills, including logistics and material transport management.
- Experience managing project travel logistics and reviewing field timecards/LOA claims.
- Proficiency using Procore, MS Project, or similar construction management software.
- High proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution capabilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel across Canada as needed to support the team.
Pay: $115,000.00 per year
