GRAPHIC DESIGNER
The graphic designer will interact with internal staff, customers and suppliers, working on various orders and projects. This role is also very independent and must be filled by someone who is willing to work alone but also be very collaborative when needed. The successful candidate will be well-organized, able to manage multiple tasks at once, self-motivated and a self-starter, with a friendly and professional attitude. This is a permanent and full-time position based in our office in Kamloops BC, Canada.
Some Duties of a Graphic Designer include:
1. Manage a large queue of projects and effectively meet deadlines
2. Use customer supplied text and art to prepare digital art proofs and promotional products
3. Bring creative ideas and outside the box thinking to all aspects of the position
4. setup and printing of various projects on our large format printers
5. Administrative duties including telephone reception, assisting clients in the showroom and other duties as required
Skills/Education/Experience:
1. A post-secondary education in Graphic Design or equivalent certificates is not required but a strong asset
2. A Passion for Graphic Design
3. Excellent communicator and collaborator
4. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
5. A “flexible” personality, not flustered buy a fast-moving, frequently changing environment.
6. Strong knowledge of graphic design software, including but not limited to Corel Draw and/or Adobe Suite - Illustrator & Photoshop
7. Print industry experience is an asset
