The Company
Mainstreet Equity Corporation is a distinguished real estate company that is publicly traded on Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). Its business focus is on acquisition & upgrading of residential properties and managing its own portfolio of over 18,000 residential apartments in five major cities across Canada.
A description of the duties required but not limited to, is as follows:
- Assisting in maintaining customers' ledger by accurately posting account transactions, deposits and preparing statements and refunds;
- Review lease documents with information in operating system to ensure accuracy, support monthly renewal processing, prepare adjustment as needed;
- Preparing and reviewing monthly EFT transfer files to the bank and maintaining tenant's account information;
- Proactively identify and resolve ledger discrepancies;
- Ensure all confidential data and information are securely maintained;
- Ability to set priorities, multi-task, follow-up, and work with team in a fast-paced environment;
- Performing other related administrative and accounting tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as an Administrative Account Assistant or in a similar administrative role preferred.
- An accounting diploma is an asset but not required.
- Previous experience in accounting or administrative support is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with accounting or property management software preferred
- Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry and reconciliation skills
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
