Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Line Cook will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests through efficient meal preparation and presentation.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling dishes
- Cook meals with attention to presentation, taste, and consistency
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow all food safety protocols and proper storage procedures for ingredients and leftovers
- Support the overall efficiency of the kitchen by assisting with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of meal preparation, serving procedures, and kitchen operations
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff members
- Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred
- Ability to work effectively as a part of a team while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism during all shifts
Schedule & Hours
- Full-time: 40 hours per week.
- Part-time: 20 - 24 hours per week.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
