Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and personable Hairstylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling, excellent customer service skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role involves providing high-quality hair services, maintaining sanitation standards, and creating a welcoming environment for clients. The Hairstylist will also engage in retail sales and upselling to enhance client satisfaction and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and styling tailored to client preferences
- Deliver exceptional customer service by listening to client needs and offering expert advice
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all work areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
- Upsell retail products and additional services to clients to enhance their experience and increase sales
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and processing payments
- Communicate effectively with clients to build rapport and ensure satisfaction with services provided
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and product knowledge through ongoing education
Requirements
- Proven experience in hair styling and salon services
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols and safety standards in a salon setting
- Ability to upsell products and services while maintaining a genuine approach
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Previous experience in retail sales or front desk operations is a plus
- A valid cosmetology license or relevant certification as required by local regulations
