Victory Ridge Sports is hiring a Shipping & Customer Service Associate to join our team in Barrie, Ontario.
This is a hands-on, in-store role that combines order fulfillment, shipping operations, retail sales and customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable interacting with customers while ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Shipping & Fulfillment:
- Prepare and package customer orders for shipment
- Generate shipping labels and coordinate outgoing shipments
- Ensure orders are accurate and securely packaged
- Maintain organization within the shipping and fulfillment area
- Assist with inventory handling related to outgoing orders
Sales/Customer Service:
- Assist customers in-store with product selection, recommendations, and purchases
- Build product knowledge across firearms, optics, ammunition, and accessories to confidently guide customers
- Actively engage customers on the sales floor to drive sales and improve overall experience
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems
- Promote current sales, featured products, and in-store promotions
- Upsell and cross-sell relevant products (e.g., optics, accessories, ammunition)
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked sales displays
- Ensure merchandise is properly faced, priced, and presented
- Assist with merchandising, product placement, and seasonal displays
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-store
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate when needed
- Support ecommerce customers with order questions, product info, and order follow-ups
- Stay up to date on new products, inventory changes, and industry trends
- Assist with in-store events, promotions, or product launches
- Contribute to a positive, knowledgeable, and professional customer experience
Requirements
- Valid Canadian PAL (Possession and Acquisition License) – required prior to start
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail and shipping environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
Assets (Not Required)
- Experience in retail customer service
- Experience with shipping/fulfillment or warehouse operations
- Familiarity with firearms, shooting sports, or outdoor equipment
