Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Operating Room RNs to join acute care hospital teams in both Vero Beach and Weston, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced inpatient OR environment. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and experience caring for diverse patient populations.
Shift times will vary based on start date and unit availability.

Requirements
- Canadian RN license (LPN does not qualify)
- 2+ years of Current Operating Room experience
- Canadian citizenship (for U.S. TN visa eligibility)
Duties
- Prepare operating rooms prior to surgical procedures by verifying equipment functionality, ensuring availability of sterile instruments and supplies, and maintaining compliance with aseptic and infection control standards
- Conduct preoperative patient assessments, review medical histories, verify informed consent, confirm surgical site and procedure details, and ensure patient readiness for surgery
- Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures, coordinating activities within the operating room and advocating for patient safety throughout the perioperative process
- Maintain a sterile environment by monitoring the surgical team's adherence to sterile technique and promptly addressing any breaches in infection prevention protocols
- Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists during procedures by anticipating needs, obtaining supplies, managing specimens, and facilitating efficient workflow
- Monitor patient status throughout surgical procedures, including positioning, skin integrity, fluid management, blood loss, and overall physiological response in collaboration with the anesthesia team
- Operate and troubleshoot specialized surgical equipment, including electrosurgical units, suction devices, surgical lasers, robotic systems, and other procedure-specific technology
- Accurately document perioperative care, surgical counts, medications administered on the sterile field, implants used, specimens collected, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Coordinate patient transfers to and from the operating room while ensuring continuity of care through effective communication with preoperative, postoperative, and inpatient care teams
- Adhere to regulatory requirements, patient safety initiatives, and quality improvement standards to promote optimal surgical outcomes and maintain a safe perioperative environment
