Set in the heart of Yorkville, Sassafraz Restaurant delivers a refined dining experience supported by a strong team culture, attention to detail, and pride in maintaining a beautiful and welcoming environment for both guests and staff.
We are currently seeking a reliable, hands-on Facilities Maintenance to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.
Schedule
- Approximately 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Part-time permanent availability required
- Weekend availability considered an asset
Position Overview
This role is responsible for assisting with the overall cleanliness, maintenance, organization, and daily setup of the restaurant and kitchen facilities. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable performing a variety of general maintenance and cleaning tasks.
Responsibilities
- Painting, patching, drywall, and minor tiling repairs
- Basic plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Pressure washing and deep cleaning tasks
- Basic refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance
- Changing of filters and belts
- Furniture/equipment installations and assemblies
- General handyman repairs
- Ensuring maintenance issues are identified and communicated promptly
- Supporting a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, janitorial, handyman, or facilities experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Physically capable of lifting, moving equipment, and performing maintenance tasks
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Punctual and dependable
