About the Position
Holy Cross is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting operations for a group of affiliated commercial organizations.
Reporting to the Directors, the Accounting Manager provides leadership and oversight of the accounting function across organizations. The successful candidate will work closely with an experienced internal accounting team and collaborate with an external accounting firm that provides financial oversight, year-end reporting, and strategic accounting support.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the accounting operations for multiple affiliated organizations.
- Supervise, mentor, and support the internal accounting team.
- Coordinate workflow to ensure accurate and timely completion of all accounting functions.
- Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor budgets, cash flow, and financial performance.
- Develop, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Coordinate year-end processes and liaise with the external accounting firm.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial reporting, analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Participate in special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- CPA designation is considered an asset but is not required.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred.
- Experience overseeing accounting for multiple companies or divisions is an asset.
- Strong understanding of Canadian accounting principles and tax laws.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary: $68,000–$72,000 annually
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 2 weeks paid vacation
