SGGG Fund Services Inc. (SGGG-FSI) is currently seeking to fill a full-time permanent position for the role of Corporate Actions/Security Master Senior Analyst, for its Process Analytics & Enhancements (PA&E) department in BC. This team deals primarily with Corporate Actions, Onboarding, and other Fund Accounting support.
Under the direction of the Manager of Process Analytics & Enhancements, the Senior Analyst is responsible for a variety of duties which will also consist of assisting with Corporate Actions, Security Master, and Security Pricing. This position requires knowledge of the investment fund industry from operations, technical, business process perspectives and management skills.
Responsibilities
Corporate Actions
- Research and prepare complex Corporate Action templates in accordance with the prospectus, circular, and tax filings.
- Liaise with internal teams such as: Fund Accounting or Investor Relations team to obtain any missing information.
- Ensure all procedures are, without exception, followed accurately and consistently, and proper back-up is included within the Corporate Action package.
- Review and analyze Corporate Actions templates prepared by the team.
- Ensure the database is accurately maintained.
Security Master
- Create and/or review new securities as per backup provided by Fund Accounting
- Update missing RICs for existing securities.
- Ensure all procedures are, without exception, followed accurately and consistently, and proper back-up is included within updates to securities.
Security Pricing
- Manage all the tasks and queries that might come from the Fund Accounting staff for the Bloomberg terminal, including but not limited to:
- Security pricing backups
- Index Values
- Dividends & Corporate Actions
- Ensure proper documentation of data saved from Bloomberg Terminal, allowing the backups to be easily accessed by colleagues, and used for analytical purposes.
- Liaise with the Fund Accounting team to obtain the necessary documents to both understand and provide steps and backups.
- Any other Ad-hoc work related to the pricing and data terminals (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE). This may include but not limited to:
- Analyze and review pricing of securities & Corporate Actions.
- Proactively provide list of Corporate Actions to Fund Accounting team upon request.
Other
- Keep informed of any new legal, regulatory, or industry changes that may impact day-to-day work.
- Develop a professional and productive relationship with SGGG-FSI staff.
- Work to continually improve the processes associated with your assigned functions.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications
Work Experience
- 1+ years of fund administration experience.
- Very strong aptitude for Microsoft Office applications.
Education
- Post-secondary education.
- Professional designation (an asset, but not required).
- CSC or IFIC Mutual Funds Operations course (an asset, but not required).
