The Opportunity
Grey Owl Property Management is a growing Ottawa-based firm managing a portfolio of over 80 properties — and we're expanding fast. We're looking for a driven, self-directed Business Development Representative to help us scale. This is a full-commission role built for someone who thrives on ownership, loves the hunt, and wants their income to reflect exactly how hard they work.

What You'll Do
80% - Business Development
- Identify and prospect landlords, investors, and property owners who would benefit from professional management
- Build and work a pipeline of leads through cold outreach, referrals, networking, and community presence
- Conduct discovery conversations and property management consultations
- Present Grey Owl's services and close new management agreements
- Manage your pipeline independently with accountability to clear targets (~10 new doors/month)
20% - Leasing
- Coordinate and conduct showings for available units in our portfolio
- Screen applicants and support the placement of qualified tenants
- Assist with lease execution and move-in coordination
What You'll Earn
This is a 100% commission role - your income is a direct function of your output.
- New Management Agreements: Competitive commission per new door signed
- Leasing Fees: Commission on each successful tenant placement
Top performers in this role have strong earning potential. The portfolio is there, the market is there, and we'll give you the tools and training to hit the ground running.
Who You Are
- A natural relationship-builder who's comfortable making cold calls and following up relentlessly, without being pushy
- Self-motivated and disciplined enough to structure your own day without someone looking over your shoulder
- A clear communicator, both in writing and in person
- Organized enough to manage a pipeline, track leads, and follow through
- Familiar with the Ottawa rental market (or eager to learn it fast)
- Knowledgeable about Ontario landlord-tenant law is a plus, but not required, we'll train the right person
