Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for efficient warehouse distribution and inventory management, ensuring that goods are moved safely and accurately. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, and possess mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment when necessary. Duties
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move materials within the warehouse
- Perform order picking and staging to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment and perform basic maintenance or report issues
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed
- Support warehouse distribution operations by organizing stock and preparing shipments
- Use basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and verifying quantities during order fulfillment
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment for all team members
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with forklift maintenance is a plus
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and measurements
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and inventory management
- Valid forklift certification/license is required or must be obtained upon hire
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
Pay: From $17.85 per hour
