Position: Secondary Teacher
Description: Secondary PE/Humanities Teacher
Location: FNSS
Status: Full-Time Continuing Appointment 1.0 FTE
Commencement Date: September 1, 2026.
This Position includes the following: SS10, PHE 8, 9, 10, Active Living 11/12.
This position is eligible for a pre-employment hiring incentive of [$10,000.00] in return for a successful candidate accepting a job offer for this position. Note: Candidates are not eligible for the above if they were previously paid a pre-employment hiring incentive for a teaching position in the K-12 sector (in the 2023/2024, 2024/2025 or 2025/2026 school years under the provincial hiring incentives program). Please enquire about the requirements that must be met to be eligible for an incentive.
Qualifications:
Successful Classroom teaching experience.
Knowledge of and willingness to use, current best practices in education.
Familiarity with BC Curriculum.
A strong team orientation.
Excellent planning and organization skills.
A desire to grow professionally.
Clear Criminal Record Check.

The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $68,492 to $118,751 with the placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
