Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator/Project Manager to join our construction team. This role involves preparing accurate project estimates, managing project timelines, and ensuring successful project execution from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in construction estimating (specifically commercial and industrial FLOORING), project management, strategies, with proficiency in industry-standard software such as Excel and On-Screen Take Off.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive and precise construction estimates
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to assess scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to negotiate pricing and contractual terms.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely completion within scope.
- Coordinate with design teams and contractors during the pre-construction phase to refine estimates and project plans.
- Oversee procurement processes, including sourcing materials and subcontractor bids.
- Monitor project progress, address issues proactively, and adjust plans as necessary to meet project goals.
- Prepare detailed reports on project status, costs, and potential risks for stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies throughout all phases of projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating and project management within the construction industry (Specifically FLOORING).
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms while maintaining professional relationships.
- Excellent understanding of construction processes, materials pricing, and bidding procedures.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets to develop accurate cost projections.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Relevant certifications or training in construction estimating or project management is preferred but not required. This role is integral to our company's success in delivering high-quality construction projects on time and within budget. Pay: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
