Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of store management. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining operational efficiency to meet business objectives. Bilingual skills and prior retail management experience are highly valued to support diverse customer needs and team coordination.
Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff during assigned shifts, ensuring team productivity and adherence to company policies.
- Manage daily store operations, including merchandising, pricing, and inventory control.
- Oversee sales activities, including retail sales, upselling, and achieving sales targets through effective team management.
- Handle customer service issues promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct training and development sessions for team members to enhance their skills in areas such as POS operation, cash handling, and product knowledge.
- Assist with recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and participating in onboarding processes.
- Monitor cash handling procedures, perform cashiering duties when necessary, and ensure accurate bookkeeping.
- Implement marketing strategies within the store to promote products and special offers.
- Manage scheduling, payroll processing, and administrative tasks related to store operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in retail or customer service environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and organizational abilities.
- Experience with merchandising, POS systems, purchasing, and pricing strategies.
- Knowledge of sales management, marketing techniques, budgeting, and store management principles.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are preferred to serve a diverse customer base effectively.
- Demonstrated proficiency in administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, and time management.
